Western High School - A Tradition of Excellence
The academic performance of our students has been quite remarkable while continuing to uphold “A Tradition of Excellence” here at Western High School. In 2005 and 2009, Western High School was recognized among the top 5% of all high schools in California by the State Department of Education. In 2010, Western High School was recognized among the top 6% of all high schools in the nation by the U.S News and World Report.

School Site Council is a committee of students, parents, staff, and administration that helps decide the direction of the school and takes steps to see that the school's goals are accomplished.

Grad Night At Disneyland
Grad Night at Disneyland! – June 16 from 9:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. Grad Night is a traditional Senior Activity during which students from several high schools have Disneyland “to themselves” all night. This is a very popular activity and this year there will be 230 tickets available. Click on the link for more information.

Western Students travel to France
From April 2-11, 2010 six Pioneers and two parents joined Mrs. Donner,
Western's French Teacher, on a tour of France arranged by NETC, the #1

Star Testing Begins April 23
STAR testing results are very important to the school as well as each individual student. These scores are used to rate the school against other schools in the state and help identify areas that need improve. Student testing results can be used for placement in classes and are also part of your transcripts used for college admissions. To make sure you do your best, get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast each day before testing. To be fully prepared, print out the attached STAR testing bell schedule.
